GEC is providing geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services for the Poinciana Parkway design/build project in Osceola and Polk Counties. This is the first project of the newly-created Osceola Expressway Authority (OCX). The toll road is a partnership between OCX, Osceola County, Polk County and A/V Homes, and will provide access for thousands of Poinciana residents to Central Florida’s regional transportation network. The project begins in Osceola County at the intersection of Cypress Parkway and Rhododendron Blvd, and ends at the intersection of US. 17-92 and CR 54 in Polk County. Jr. Davis Construction Company is serving as the D/B team lead. The project will be in operation in 2016.
