About GEC

GEC Kissimmee Office

Since our company formed in 1991, GEC has served on numerous public and private sector projects throughout Osceola County. In order to better serve our clients and the Osceola County community, we opened the GEC Kissimmee Office in June, 2003. GEC is currently the only geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting and construction materials testing firm located in Osceola County. Our GEC Kissimmee Office and Materials Testing Laboratory is located at 2510 Michigan Avenue and is easily accessible from Florida’s Turnpike and the Osceola Parkway. Our Kissimmee Laboratory is inspected and qualified by the Construction Materials Engineers Council (CMEC) and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

Mike Byerly, P.E.

GEC Kissimmee Office Manager

Mike Byerly, P.E., GEC Vice President and Partner, is our Kissimmee Office Manager and Jason Hutchens is our Kissimmee Laboratory Manager. Both Mike and Jason live in Osceola County. Gary Kuhns, P.E., GEC President, is a native of Kissimmee, having graduated from Osceola High School in 1978. Gary takes a personal interest in Osceola County projects and community events.
