FLORIDA OVERLAND EXPRESS (FOX) HIGH SPEED RAIL – TAMPA TO ORLANDO TO MIAMI

GEC performed the preliminary geotechnical investigation and contamination screening evaluation for the eastern half of the proposed high speed rail alignment, from Lakeland to Orlando.  The project alignment followed the I-4 corridor, utilizing existing FDOT right of way.  Earlier, GEC served as the Geotechnical Engineer for the FOX project, which was planned to connect all three urban centers, with the initial line extending from Orlando to Miami.
