FLORIDA HIGH SPEED RAIL (FLHSR) PRELIMINARY DESIGN – TAMPA TO ORLANDO

GEC was the Geotechnical Engineer for the FDOT Florida Rail Enterprise (FRE) Program Management team providing preliminary design and oversight of the selected Design/Build/Operate/Maintain and Finance (DBOMF) team.  GEC’s role was to provide geotechnical engineering consulting for preliminary design of the 84-mile Orlando to Tampa alignment, and management of the Geotechnical Data Collection effort for distribution of geotechnical information to the shortlisted DBOMF teams.  GEC also provided geotechnical services for the planned FLHSR Operations Control and Maintenance Facility to be located on GOAA property at Orlando International Airport.
